Izaak Blik totally took the side of the oppressors, and we really held it against him.
Heavy work in the transport unit cost lives. The work was too heavy. In order to be in the guards’ good graces some took a position against their own people. This was exactly what the German oppressor had in mind by giving a measure of self-rule to the prisoners: divide and conquer.
