Under arrest
Camp Conrad Rouveen
2 - 3 oktober 1942
We had to sign a form, and when I started to read it the commander grabbed his revolver and screamed.
The Grüne Polizei waited until all the Jewish laborers were inside and then surrounded the camp. Because they wore green uniforms – just like the present-day German police – they were known as the Grüne Polizei.
The Jews were forced to sign a form indicating that they voluntarily agreed to work in an assigned place.
