Mailing address for food
Camp Conrad Rouveen
28 april – 9 augustus 1942
My wife sent a potato pie, my favorite pie, in a large cookie tin but it spoiled overnight.
The food was tasty but insufficient for the physical labor done by the Jews. A bowl of hot cereal in the morning, six small slices of bread for the entire day, and a plate of mashed potatoes and cabbage in the evening. Most of the men regularly received some food from home.
