Farmers warn us
Camp Conrad Rouveen
2 oktober 1942
And then we stood there, thinking – should we go back or try to get away.
On Friday, 2 October 1942, 10 to 15 men from the Grüne Polizei arrived in camp Conrad. The workers in the camp were told that they were in transit and that they would stay in Conrad one night because there was no space in Meppel. Some Jews became suspicious and six men managed to escape that night.
