Transit camp Annaberg
2 – 12 november 1942

Everything was a big mystery, a horrible mystery.

There were 675 Zwangarbeiterlager für Jüden. More than 225 of these camps were in the German Reich and in the Polish provinces that were annexed after 1939, and half of these camps were in the industrial zone of Silesia. Names like Blechhammer, Laurahütte, Sakrau, and St. Annaberg have become notorious.
