There were 18 of us in the compartment and we had to stand, even in the toilet. It was like a warehouse crammed full.

It was like a warehouse crammed full.From camp Westerbork the Jews were deported to Eastern Europe. A long trip in overcrowded cattle wagons. However, Coen’s transport took place in an ordinary passenger train.
