Reunion with his friend Heymann

And there stood my best friend Heymann, my brother-friend for we always fought as you do with a brother.

Jewish families were arrested at home and taken to Westerbork. Call-ups were no longer sent out; instead, Jews were taken from their homes unexpectedly and transported to Westerbork.
